2) Ask them a question what do you want to include in your diary about your first day at senior high
3) Lead in the passage of reading
1) Look at some pictures and name it

To raise the interests of the students and lead to the topic of the unit high school life
Step 2 Whilereading
（20 min）
1) Lead Ss to analyse the structure of diary through the passage
2) Ask Ss to read the passage and find out what the author wrote in his diary
3) Guide Ss to skim the passage and divide it into four parts
4) Complete Meng Hao’s experiences with expressions from the passage
5) Remind Ss to take notes if necessary
1) Know about the structure of diary
2) Read the passage and find out what the author wrote in his diary
3) Read the passage again and divide it into four parts
4) Read the passage and fill in the blanks
5) Take notes if necessary
