All communication begins with the sender and ends with the receiverThe sender is responsible for successful conveyanceThe sender’s personalitybeliefscultural and educational background all influence the message and it is important for the sender to be aware of this as he or she is encoding the messageSimply putencoding is translating information into symbols that represent the ideas or concepts of the message that needs sendingThese symbols are usually words in written or spoken formTo ensure successful communicationthe sender should know as much about his or her audiencethe receiveras possible in order to focus and support the encoding process
In addition to this awareness of self and encodingthe sender must choose the proper channel for conveying the messageUsing the wrong channel may result in miscommunicationLike the senderreceivers are influenced by internal factorstheir personalitytheir receptivity to the message or their relationship to the senderAdditionallytheir current feelingsmoodor state of mind can affect a messageOnce the message moves through the channelthe receiver then decodes itThe receiver uses his or her own experience and the context of the message to interpret its meaning
Feedback is the return message from the receiver to the senderIt is feedback that enables the sender to know whether the message was received successfully or notTherefore it is essential to the communication process
This processthough very commonis fraught with potential breakdown at every turnSpoken or written language is inherently easy to misinterpretIn conclusioneffective and successful Communication takes place when the message is successfully received and the receiver provides the sender with desirable feedback

Graffiti painting is traditionally a daredevil pursuitTeenagers dodge security guards to put their names on trains and busesBut over the past decadegraffiti has all but disappeared from Britain’s citiesBetween 2007 and 2012 the number of incidents of graffiti recorded by the British Transport Police fell by 63A survey by the Environment Ministry shows that fewer places are blighted by tags than everGraffiti are increasingly confined to sanctioned wallssuch as the Stock well ball courtsIn time the practice may die out entirely
The most obvious reason for the decline in tagging and trainpainting is better policingNumerous CCTV cameras mean it is harder to getaway with painting illegallyAnd punishments are more severeA generational shift is apparenttooFewer teenagers are getting into painting wallsThey prefer to play with i Pads and video gamesSome have gone to art school and want to make money from their paintingsThe Internet means that painters can win far more attention by posting pictures online than they can by breaking into a railway yard
Taggers and graffiti artists mostly grewupinthe1980sand1990sThose menand almost all are menare now older and less willing to take risksGraffiti may eventually disappearBut for now the hobby is almost respectableThe former graffiti artists paint abandoned warehouses at the weekendIt has become something to do on a Sunday afternoona slightly healthier alternative to sitting and watching football

Is teaching important Well of course it is There was a time when the necessary knowledge could be taught to the young by family members But as societies became more complex and division of labor more diverse it was impossible for family members to teach the information and skills that young people needed to become useful members of the society When the society needed specialists teaching came into being as a career And it has been of increasing importance during the past hundred years Today we have strict rules for teachers We hope all children can go to schools It is generally agreed that teaching is indeed an important job
In recent years there has been an increasing need for teachers to be responsible This means that the public expects teachers to succeed in teaching important information to the young Teachers’ salaries today while not that much are much higher than they were in years past Pay increases have come about because people have realized that without decent salaries less talented people will get involved with teaching profession Hence higher salaries and higher qualifications for the prospective teachers Today almost no one has that anybody can do a teacher’s job in their mind The public expects quality people to teach the young and progress is being made to offer better benefits and higher salaries to appeal to more talented people to become school teachers

The National Union of Students (NUS) welcomes the news that greater numbers of black and disabled students are studying at UK universities but there is still a lot of work to be done on widening access writes the union's president Gemma Tumelty
A recent Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG) equalities review showed that significant numbers of potential students felt their disability was a major barrier to accessing higher education (HE)This is simply unacceptable
Equality and diversity is not entirely anumbers game and before too much praise is given we need to hear more from nontraditional students not just about their experience of accessing higher education but also going through the system
Equality in society is absolutely and fundamentally linked to equality in access to education
For many students university is the place where they will be first exposed to different cultures and different people As well as fighting for better access the NUS wants to see diversity properly valued and promoted within the student experience Many pay lip service to the value of diversity but is this recognized and promoted as a core asset to those who go through the HE system
Equality in society can be promoted by equality and diversity at university But the benefits of university as a positive diverse environment must be seen by students as adding value as much as any other factors before the numbers game is really won by the champions of diversity
