Second the most important and most difficult part of the making of a good language teacher is the development of professional competence The first step of it is language development due to the changing feature of language there will be no end of language development So a teacher should keep learning and revising his outdated notion on time The second step involves three substages learning practice and reflection The learning stage is actually the preparation learning from other’s experience learning the received knowledge and learning from one’s own experiences as a learner Don’t stop learning steps Both experimental knowledge and received knowledge are useful when a teacher goes to real practice One is the preservice education under the supervision of instructions to prepare for his class The other is to go to the real classroom to be a real teacher Next is to reflect on his teaching work also you can make it at the time of teaching A teacher can benefit a lot from the reflection of his work Then he can revise his teaching do a better practice Following this step he continues to reflect seriously Keeping on reflecting and practicing is either vital or difficult As a result owing to the circulation a teacher can reach his final goal the professional competence
To make a conclusion the professional competence is just a moving target Every small step should not be ignored To be a good language teacher is a long road And he should keep learning updating and empowering himself with knowledge Succeed in doing all of these you can be a good teacher
