    Now please read 1a the words may be helpful for you to give the reasons
    1a Choose words from the box and write them under the pictures

    1 Listen and find the general idea of 1b
    The main idea (意) of the conversation is

    2 Listen to the conversation more carefully and find the specific ideas
    (1)Ask the Ss to listen again and circle the description words they hear in the box in 1a

    (2) 1c Listen again Write down the words John and Mary use to describe the TV shows or movies

    (3) Then ask the Ss to listen to the tape and finish the tape scripts
