My Favorite Chinese Festival
There are many great festivals in China of which I love the MidAutumn Festival most
The MidAutumn Festival is celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month It is a festival when people especially farmers celebrate the harvest and sent best wishes to people they love and miss What’s more it is a tradition that no matter how far you are away from home you are supposed to go back and spend this special day with your family On this night people will sit together in the open air admiring the moon and eating mooncakes
I love the MidAutumn Festival because it means harvest and reunion
（2） Chinese New Year is the most important festival in China People
spend almost one month celebrating the end of the winter season and the arrival of
spring
• Preparations begin in December when shops are filled with people
• buying gifts Buying new shoes is very important because it is believed
• that if you walk in old shoes on New Year Day you will be not lucky
• On New Year＇s Eve families gather at home and cover their doors
• with strips of red paper which are called couplets In this way people
• try to drive away evil spirits Gifts are usually exchanged at
• midnight Homes are full of happy sounds of children who get dressed up
• and receive money in red envelopes on New Year ＇s Eve
• For the next several days most shops are closed and people have a
• great time visiting friends and relatives The final and most impressive
• event is Lantern festival Colorful lanterns are hung outside and people
• had a dragon parade
• This Chinese New Year is an exciting holiday which everyone looks
• forward to It can make people relaxed and allow them to enjoy happy
• time with families and friends

Now the lowcarbon lifestyle is becoming increasingly popular among
people
As a student I think I can do some practical things around us For
example we should turn off the tap when we find water running and we
shouldn＇t keep water running while washing our clothes We shouldn＇t throw
away the food we can＇t eat out Besides we can recycle waste things and reuse
them When we travel we＇d better take a bus or ride a bicycle instead of taking a
taxi or driving What＇s more we can plant more trees as well
What we should always keep in mind is to save more energy and produce
less waste If everyone makes an effort we will live a better life

Each of us knows that there are four seasons a year Different people like
different seasons my favorite season is spring I love to smell the fragrance
of flowers see the new green trees and hear the singing of small birds
There are many busy butterflies and bees over the flowers Sometimes it
rains but usually rains quietly The rain moistens the trees and the
flowers And I can play outside too Whether we like riding bikes
Jogging or going on long walks spring allows us to enjoy outdoor activities
that we have to put on the back burner during winter Of course there are
