    Step 1Greeting
    Greet the class as usual and check the homework in the last class
    Step 2Leadin
    At the beginning of the lesson the teacher will show a video of a big concert to the students Ask students to think about the following questions and invite some of them to share their answers
    (1)What musical instruments did you see in the video
    (2)What are these musical instruments in English
    (3)What other musical instruments do you know
    Step 3Presentation
    Play PPT and show pictures of these four instruments in part 1a
    TDo you want to know the English names of these musical instruments Follow me drum(手指相应图片)

    Ask the students to read the four words aloud three times
    Step 4Practice
    (1)Look at 1a ask the students to match the words with the pictures
    Play the recording in part 1a After listening number the words [14] in the order of the sounds you hear
    Check the correct answers with the class
    (2) Listening
    Ask the students to look at the words and phrases in 1d and the form in 1e first then play the recording for the first time After that let the students try to complete the tasks in 1d and 1e then play it for the second time let the students check their answers again After 2 minutes the teacher gave the correct answers
    (3) Play the recording in part 1d again ask students to work with their partners talk about what BillCindy and Frank can do and can't do for example
    Can Bill play the guitar
    Yes he can but he can't sing
    Step 5Activity
    Divide students into groups of two and ask them to play a question and answer game about the musical instruments You can do it like this
    Can you play the violin
    No I can't

    家庭作业
    (1) Copy and recite the new words five times learned in this lesson
    (2)Collect more English names of musical instruments
